Portfolio Manager - Financial Institutions Sector

Neil is in his third year in the Queen’s Commerce program this fall. He is currently the Portfolio Manager for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). Previously, he was an Analyst within this sector.

This summer, Neil completed an 18-week internship in the Private Capital Group at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Previously, he completed an internship at Mackenzie Investments, a leading investment management firm.

At Queen’s University, Neil is also the VP of Research for the Queen’s Social Investment Initiative (QS2I), a ~$40,000 fund partaking in structuring micro finance transactions with soft repayments to social entrepreneurs on behalf of Queen’s University. Furthermore, this past year he was involved with the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition as the Finance Officer. Outside of these involvements, he also participates in intramural basketball weekly.

Neil attended Pickering High School in Ajax, Ontario, where he displayed strong academic success, while acting as the President of the school’s DECA chapter and Senior Manager of the Investment Club. He enjoys reading about current trends in the market, likes to travel and loves to follow and play basketball.
