BRENDAN BLAIKIE

Analyst - Cash Yield Sector

Brendan is currently in his third year at Queen’s, completing a Commerce/Economics Dual Degree. He is currently an Analyst in the Cash Yield Sector.

This past summer, Brendan worked as a Machine Operator at R&G Tool and Die while competing at the Canadian Rugby Championship with the Ontario Blues Men’s Rugby Team. Previously, he worked both as a Telus Sales Representative and as a Sales Representative for A’hoy Goods in British Columbia while playing on Canada’s Under 20 Men’s Rugby Team.

At Queen’s, Brendan is the Treasurer at Generocksity; an international, student-run, not-for-profit organization that provides accessible philanthropy options for young adults. Brendan is also a varsity athlete and treasurer for the Queen’s Varsity Men’s Rugby Team, winning the past 2 OUA Championships, while competing internationally for Canada’s Under 20 Mens’ Rugby Team in both 2015 and 2016. Brendan travelled to Portugal and Texas to compete in the Junior World Rugby Trophy, winning a silver medal in the 2015 tournament.

Brendan attended Brother Andre Catholic High School in Markham, Ontario, where he was captain of his school’s varsity rugby and football teams. Brendan is an avid NFL fan and enjoys reading, personal fitness, and travelling to both play rugby and to experience diverse cultures.
