MMitch was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario. He attended Centennial CVI where he was involved in numerous business and community leadership roles. Mitch competed in DECA, a business plan and presentation competition, ranking 1st in Ontario in his category and 3rd at the international level. Mitch led a team to run Impact Microcredit, a national competition that raised over $35,000 for charities across Canada. Instead of attending his senior year of high school, he opted to work at Rypple, a Toronto-based performance management software startup, where he assisted in various roles related to sales, operations, marketing, and user support.This past summer, Mitch worked as a business analyst at Salesforce.com assisting with post-acquisition integration of sales operations leading up to the launch of Work.com.
In his first year at Queen’s University, Mitch pursued his interest in entrepreneurship and natural resources by serving as the First Year Representative for the Queen’s Entrepreneurs’ Competition and the Queen’s Energy & Commodities Association. Mitch works part-time at the student-run print and technology center and volunteers weekly at a local elementary school through the Commerce Kids program. Mitch serves as the analyst for the Metals & Mining Sector on QUIC.
