Danny was born and raised in Duchess, Alberta. From a young age he was active on his family’s farm and spent 12 years participating in the 4-H program. He co-captained his school’s volleyball team, played badminton and refereed hockey. In 2008, he received the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation’s Loran Award, which provided him with a full scholarship to Queen’s.
An active traveler, Danny has visited 5 continents and 15 countries. He has worked in the microfinance sector in Southeast Asia and studied at HEC School of Management in Paris, France.For the past three years, Danny has been active in both federal and provincial politics in Ontario and Alberta. He has been a campaign volunteer for the Conservative Party of Canada, and sits on the Board of Directors for a provincial conservative party where he led the efforts drafting a campaign plan for his home riding. His interest in politics led him to Washington, DC for a summer, where he worked in the Canadian Embassy’s International Business Development division.
This past summer, Danny completed an internship in New York with Goldman Sachs. Danny will be returning to Goldman Sachs in New York to work full-time after graduation.
