Christian was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He started playing classical piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music at the age of three and was certified to teach piano by the age of fourteen. He received a grade of first class honours with distinction for his final technical certification program and a grade of first class honours for his grade 9 practical certification. His interest in mathematics was piqued when he enrolled in the Kumon Math Program at the age of six and quickly rose to become ambassador of the local Kumon Centre after finishing in 22nd place in a North American math competition involving over 17,000 competitors. After ten years of involvement in the program, he began teaching at the Centre.

Christian has a passion for aviation and is currently pursuing his recreational pilot’s license. Christian attended the Ecole secondaire catholique Jean-Vanier in Welland, Ontario and was enrolled in high school level math and music courses when he was only eleven years old. He graduated from high school one year early and enrolled in the Queen’s Commerce program in the fall of 2008. He joined the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition as its first year representative and the Queen’s University Investment Counsel as an analyst in the Metals & Mining Sector where he helped to earn an absolute return of 33% over the year. After serving as the portfolio manager for the Energy & Utilities Sector in 2010-2011, he has returned to the Metals & Mining sector as the portfolio manager.

Christian was actively involved in an entrepreneurial venture, Eclipse Writing, growing the team to include eight writers and one editor. Over the summer of 2010, he worked as an investment banking analyst for Paradigm Capital in Toronto and focused on companies in the Metals & Mining and Growth Sectors. He recently was a summer analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman Sachs & Co in New York, and will be joining Goldman full time after graduation.
